For nearly eleven years, it has been my extraordinary privilege to create the Energy Transition Show, to explore the energy transition with so many remarkable guests, and to share that journey with all of you.
Unfortunately, XE Network and I were unable to reach agreement regarding the future direction of our partnership. As a result, I exercised my contractual right to terminate that partnership. Under our Agreement, because no new agreement was reached, the Energy Transition Show was terminated effective July 31, 2026, and Episode 281 is its final episode.
As listeners may have noticed, Episode 281 was not released as originally scheduled. I do not control publication or distribution on the XE Network platform and cannot say when or whether XE Network will release it.
Under our Agreement, I retain all intellectual property rights to the Energy Transition Show. XE Network retains the exclusive right to distribute the existing Energy Transition Show catalog for twelve months following termination.

I realize that this will be a disappointment to our supporters and listeners, many of whom have given us their loyal support for many years. It is also a great loss to me personally, as I have devoted myself to creating a show worthy of that loyalty and support. The Energy Transition Show has been a work of deep passion and commitment, and bringing it to a close was the last—and least desirable—option. This was not the outcome I wanted, and I sincerely wish it had not come to this.
The Energy Transition Show has never simply been a podcast to me. It has been eleven years of conversations, friendships, curiosity, and shared learning with an extraordinary community. For that, I will always be grateful.
Although my partnership with XE Network has ended, my work certainly has not. I am currently focused on two new newsletters and a podcast on my new platform, TransitionTimes.net. I encourage everyone who wishes to continue following my work to join me there as either a free or premium subscriber. I remain deeply committed to exploring the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, and I look forward to continuing that journey with all of you in new ways. I may also revive the Energy Transition Show at some point in the future.
On behalf of everyone who has contributed to the show over the years, thank you for your loyalty, encouragement, curiosity, and support. Together we have built something of enduring value of which we can all be proud.
